Cynthia Schmidt
1st Grade Lead Teacher
Cynthia Schmidt is a dedicated educator with a diverse background in teaching. She has taught everything from elementary school to high school. She found her passion in first grade at Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥. Cynthia is committed to helping each student grow and develop in their social and academic potential. Highly motivated and enthusiastic, Cynthia wants all children to be successful learners and works to create a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive to the varied needs of students.
Cynthia has been an educator at James Irwin for seven years. She started her JI career in first grade as an assistant and has been blessed to continue in first grade as a teacher, then lead teacher and teacher coach. She has earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Sacred Heart University, her Master’s in Business Education from Hofstra University and her certification in Work Based Learning from the University of Buffalo.
