Q. How do I begin the admissions process to Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥?
A. The first step in the admissions process is to complete an application. This will put your student on the waitlist. Enroll now!
Q. Do you have to pay tuition to attend JICS?
A. Ï㽶ÊÓƵֱ²¥ are tuition-free public charter schools. There is an annual student fee at each school to help cover the cost of supplies, lockers, student planners, and technology.
Q. Does my family need to live in a certain district to attend JICS?
A. Admission to our schools is not limited by school district boundaries and we attract students from all over the Pikes Peak Region and Front Range including students from as far away as Pueblo, Divide/Woodland Park, Calhan, Monument and even Denver.
Q. Are uniforms required?
A. Uniforms are required at JIES-A, JIES-H, JIES-CD, JICMS, and PTEC. A modest dress code is required at JICHS. For detailed information, please see the pages for each school.
Q. What are the schools’ hours?
A. JICHS – Monday – Thursday school starts at 7:45 AM and dismisses at 3:30 PM. On Friday, school starts at 7:45 AM and dismisses at 1:30 PM.
JICMS – Monday – Thursday school starts at 7:45 AM and dismisses at 3:30 PM. On Friday, school starts at 7:45 AM and dismisses at 1:30 PM.
JIES-A - Monday - Thursday school starts at 7:50 AM and dismisses at 3:20 PM. On Friday, school starts at 7:50 AM and dismisses at 1:30 PM.
JIES-CD -Monday - Thursday school starts at 8:00 AM and dismisses at 3:30 PM. On Friday, school starts at 8:00 AM and dismisses at 1:30 PM.
JIES-H -Monday - Thursday school starts at 8:00 AM and dismisses at 3:30 PM. On Friday, school starts at 8:00 AM and dismisses at 1:30 PM.
PTEC – Monday – Thursday school starts a 7:30 AM and dismisses at 3:15 PM. On Friday, school starts at 7:30 AM and dismisses at 1:30 PM.
Q. Are AP classes offered at JICHS?
A. Yes, JICHS offers many AP courses in several subject areas. Please see the JICHS Course Description Book for complete information on all our course offerings.
Q. Do your schools offer sports?
A. Both James Irwin Charter High School and James Irwin Charter Middle School offer a wide variety of sports.
